News & Sharpening Information

check back often for promotions and announcements . . .

For our customers who continue to support us at the local Farmers Markets, keep in mind that we continue to take items in during the off season. Give us a call and we will make arrangements to help keep your items in top cutting condition. Also we do not stop sharpening your off season items. We can make sure your blades are ready for next years gardening season.

I am also pleased to announce that we are also doing gift certificates for those who want to share the experience with others. They make great gifts for those moving into the area and have items that need a little tender loving care. Contact us and we will be happy to give you more information.

We regret to have to say we can no long sharpen Ice Skate. With the ice arena's having the equipment to sharpen on site, it has become something that we very seldom do. Therefore we have decided not to replace a specialty machine with a newer one. It was a hard decision to make, and we are sorry for any inconvenience to those who have brought us their skate in the past. As of January 1,2019 we will no long be taking them in.

Our new rotary cutter sharpener has arrived and after working with it a little, we are now ready to do these as well. The price is $5.00 per cutter. As there is only so much that can be done with these, Those that have deep nicks in the cutting edge and of course those that are cracked cannot be done. As always there is no charge to have us look them over to determine if they can be sharpened.

If you know us, and have dealt with us over the years, you will know that we have not raised our pricing since opening our doors in 2012. We strive to give our customers quality workmanship at a price that will help them save over buying new. However I have come to the point where the cost of supplies for sharpening mower blades has passed the price that we charge. After going over the cost of materials verses the income, I find that I need to increase the cost of sharpening lawn mower blades. Effective January 1, 2022, I will be increasing the price to $7.50. At this time, I am able to maintain the pricing on all other items on our price list.
